Control the properties of plastics
Plastic films can have a number of different properties, in order to optimise the packaging process, as well as the ability of the packaging to protect the packaged product or extend its shelf life. These properties are achieved by a combination of several things. Choice of film type (mono, co-ex, laminate, barrier film etc.), addition of additives (e.g. UV, slip, anti-static etc.) or by designing the film to achieve the desired properties (e.g. embossing or perforation). Plastic films can therefore often be a complex product where deep insight into the film's production is essential to achieve the desired results. This is where our Solution Managers can advise.
Interaction between machine and packaging film
When the packaging process is automated, the demands on the film's design and properties become more stringent. Our Solution Managers take your packaging machine as a starting point and take its specifications and tolerances into account when designing new solutions. Our Solution Managers are experienced in automating the packaging process with packaging films and can advise on both FFS films, stretch hood- and shrink films.
